Why it exists

Everything you need to know about your servers is already written down somewhere — in metrics, package lists, certificates, web and SSH logs. The trouble is that nobody has time to read it all, and the tools that promise to either take a project to stand up or stop at a ping check.

Demerzel reads it for you. One agent per server reports what it sees; Demerzel keeps those facts, never rewrites them, and rebuilds from them the current picture of each server — then tells you, in order, what deserves your attention.

Why it defends, too

On one of our own servers, a single automated scanner swept 26 sites and pushed the load from 1 to 107. Demerzel rebuilt the whole incident from the logs, without anyone opening one. Knowing what happened was good; not letting it happen again was better. That is how Active Defense was born — with more guardrails than rules, because blocking a customer is worse than letting a scanner through.

• Honest over impressive. This site lists what is shipped, not what is planned.
